In recent years, Spain has undergone important urban developments in cities like Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Seville or Bilbao, with state-of-the-art architecture and a modern lifestyle. Simultaneously, it has conquered a leading position in the international MICE industry, with a high level of recognition for its advanced infrastructures and services.

Nowadays, each and every Spanish destination we offer - as outlined on this link - has everything you need for organizing a great company incentive, convention or event: direct flight connections, first-class hotels, excellent restaurants, unique venues for unforgettable events, top transportation systems, multilingual assistance and of course not to be forgotten so famous characteristics that make this country so special for our guests: the Latin ambiance, the extraordinary gastronomy, and this fantastic Mediterranean way of life!

The famous island of Ibiza boasts an average of 300 days of sunshine per year. Located in the Mediterranean Sea East of Valencia, it is the third largest island of the Balearic Islands. This very beautiful  island is first of all famous for its nightlife and summer club parties that attract tourists from all over the world. Nonetheless, Ibiza is also listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the beautiful landscape and the well-preserved villages.

Ibiza is a great incentive destination in spring and autumn, when the climate is mild, party is going on, and prices are not skyrocketting as in summer… most hotels, restaurants and discotheques do close in winter (November to March), though.

Being Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia is a unique combination of history and future. Set at the Mediterranean Sea and equipped with a mild climate all year, an enviable gastronomy and an extremely developed infrastructure, Valencia offers ideal conditions for incentives, conventions and congresses alike. Actually, the city has developed to the 3rd most important congress city in Spain, third only to Barcelona and Madrid.

Valencia has entered the 21st century some years ago with the opening of its futuristic “City of Arts and Sciences” (Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias). This highly modern and worldwide unique museum complex designed by star architect Santiago Calatrava is a unique event location. It also represents a severe contrast to the historical old town with its narrow streets that is packed with historical sites, museums and bars – a delight for every visitor! Valencia is also known as the most cheerful and lively city in Spain. The festival “Las Fallas” takes place every year in mid-March and is a thrilling and spectacular fiesta with amazing fireworks and giant papier-mâché sculptures being burned in the streets on the last day.

The city combines a cosmopolitan vibe, a laid-back beach atmosphere and traditional Spanish culture as no other. Valencia is the home town of Paella, and its 800.000 inhabitants are proud to be Valencianos, retaining the original and traditional character of the city. Explore the museums and markets, soak up the sun at the beach or enjoy one of the green parks or gardens in the city…. and don’t miss to dive into Valencia’s nightlife – Valencia is considered as one of Europe’s best nightlife cities!

Seville is truly a magical town, and world-wide known not only for the setting of three famous operas, Carmen, Don Giovanni and the Barber of Seville, but also for its amazing monuments – no wonder UNESCO considers the Barrio Santa Cruz, the ancient quarter of Seville, as a “World Heritage Site”.

The jewel of the Andalusian capital, the Cathedral, is one of the most brilliant examples of Gothic architecture; it is actually the 3rd largest cathedral in the world, after St. Peter’s in Rome and St. Paul’s in London. The Giralda bell-tower was built by the Arabs in the 12th century and is nowadays one of the most emblematic tower of the entire islamic architecture. Beside the Cathedral, you find the Royal Fortresses of Seville, the “Reales Alcázares”. Europe’s oldest royal residence was originally Moorish, but subsequently refurbished by Christian Kings, who added the Renaissance structure.

Moreover Sevilla’s most important art collection is the Museum of Fine Arts, well worth visiting, same as the beautiful Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de España, built for the first Expo in Seville 1929. Or, take a walk or a boat ride along the Guadalquivir River towards the interesting Expo 92 area. The relaxing atmosphere in Seville complements the way of life of the Sevillanos, who savour every moment of life. Go on a tapas tour through the old and the “in” districts of the city, it is just wonderful to try one of these fine appetisers here and the next one over there. The famous Flamenco bars in the Triana district open not before midnight, but it is well worth staying up late!

Sevilla is also a great starting point for exploring the historic region of Andalusia: within easy reach you have the cities of Ronda and Jerez, and the famous “Route of the White Villages” between both cities, same as Córdoba, Málaga, Marbella, Gibraltar and the beautiful beaches of the Costa de la Luz and the Costa del Sol. A bit further but still doable on one day is Granada with its amazing Alhambra, probably Spain’s most important monument.

Madrid is a fascinating, monumental, cosmopolitan and lively city: a European domain of history and architecture, the city of museums and culture, and – for some even more important – home town to the world’s most successful football club, Real Madrid! It combines perfectly modernity with tradition and is one of the premier style cities in Europe. The open and welcoming capital is with 3 million inhabitants the biggest city in Spain and the domicile of the central Government with its ministries and administration, and the Royal Family.

In 1561 King Felipe II transferred the capital of Spain from Toledo to Madrid, turning the city into the political and cultural centre of the Spanish Kingdom. This can perfectly be seen in Madrid’s buildings and monuments dating from the different centuries: Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-classic, Romantic and Modern. A “must-see” in Madrid is the Royal Palace, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family even though only used these days for state ceremonies.

Madrid is also called the City of Museums: the famous “Prado” is the nº 1 museum in Spain and one of the most visited in the world. The building itself is an outstanding example of 18th century neo-classical architecture. The beautiful “Thyssen-Bornemisza” museum is the largest private art collection in the world, meanwhile the “Reina Sofia” National Museum is focussed on modern art, exhibiting one of the most important paintings ever: Pablo Picasso’s “Guernica”.

The Madrileños are very friendly and open-minded people who know how to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. The city is surely a paradise for shopping lovers that includes the famous shopping outlet in Las Rozas, and offers an incredible nightlife, delicious restaurants and dozens of bars, movie theatres and flamenco venues. This vibrant city is just waiting for you to be explored!

Barcelona is surely one of the most beautiful and attractive cities in the world. This city is classic and traditional, at the same time modern and fashionable, trendy and futuristic, with fabulous natural surroundings, a nice Mediterranean climate, imposing Avant-garde architecture, outstanding art treasures, impressing infrastructures, and a relaxed lifestyle. Its location between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains is unbeatable and offers great possibilities for excursions and trips.

Home city to 9 UNESCO World Heritage Sites (more than any other city in the world!), to the 4-times UEFA Champions League winner, and to no less than 16 Michelin-star-rated restaurants, Barcelona is the place where a young and unknown man named Pablo Picasso held his first exposition, and where the World Exposition 1929, the Olympic Summer Games 1992 and the Universal Forum 2004 took place. Barcelona offers its visitors 66 public parks covering 10% of the city area, 7 city beaches, the largest cruise harbour in Europe (the 2nd largest in the world), and the “Gothic Quarter” which is one of the most extensive and harmonious medieval city centres in Europe.

It is also the city of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí – the landmark “Sagrada Familia” is his masterpiece “par excellence” and nowadays the City’s most emblematic building. The Eixample Area marvels with its Modernist buildings, built around the turn of the century and with Gaudi’s 2nd masterpiece “La Pedrera”, listed on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage. Casa Battló, Palau Güell, Casa Vicens and the Güell Park are other architectural highlights created by Gaudí.

There is hardly anything you won’t find in Barcelona – this city has it all: museums and art galleries, beaches and mountains, deluxe restaurants and tapas bars, football and sailing, monuments and shops, nightlife and fashion, theatres and markets, bodegas and boutiques, movies and concerts, wineries and skiing areas nearby… the list is endless. And so are the possibilities of things to do in Barcelona!

On the Footsteps of Gaudí

We will take the guests on a city tour through Barcelona following the footsteps of the city’s most influential son of all times: Antoní Gaudí. This outstanding architect lived and worked most of his lifetime in Barcelona, and his “footprints” can be seen frequently as you wander through the Catalan capital.

Starting from the landmark Sagrada Familia, the Church of the Holy Family: this is Gaudí’s masterpiece “par excellence”, although he couldn’t finish it during lifetime; it is already the most emblematic building of the city, the Eiffel Tower of Barcelona.

We will move on visiting Parc Güell, and we’ll continuing down towards the city centre, we will reach the elegant Passieg de Gràcia where two other masterpieces of Antoni Gaudí are located: La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.

All Gaudí’s masterpieces are listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.

La Feria de Abril in Sevilla

The unique “Feria de Abril de Sevilla” begins every year 3 weeks after the Holy Week, the much beloved “Semana Santa”. It starts at midnight on Saturday, and runs seven days, ending on the following Saturday. Every day the Feria begins with the parade of carriages and riders, at noon. For the duration of the fair, the fairgrounds are totally covered in rows of “casetas” (individual decorated marquee tents which are temporarily built on the fairground). Some of these “casetas” belong to prominent families of Seville, some to groups of friends, clubs, trade associations or political parties. From the late afternoon until six or seven the following morning, you will find crowds partying and dancing “Sevillanas”.

According to a popular saying, Seville has a very special colour, and all the more so during its “Feria de Abril” where you hear all day and night and everywhere Flamenco music, and in particular the “sevillanas”, a particularly pleasant and cheerful part of Flamenco that is easy to dance to, especially for women. Once the pointed hoods, trumpets and drums of Easter week are left behind, it is the turn of flounces, ornamental combs, castanets, and, above all, the joy of a people who positively give off imagination and good humour. Sevilla is more beautiful than ever during the “Feria”, and, with music and jubilation, it displays the essence of this magical city: its joyful spirit and the good nature of its people.

Magic Andalucía

The name Andalusia is derived from the Arabic word “Al-Andalus”. As well as Muslim and Romanic influences, the region’s history and culture have been influenced by the earlier Iberians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans and Castilians. Nevertheless the region has a rich culture and a strong culture identity.

It is the most popular and the second largest area of the autonomous communities in Spain. The Andalusia autonomous community is officially recognized as a nationality in Spain.  Many cultural phenomena that are seen internationally as distinctively Spanish are largely or entirely Andalusian in origin. These include flamenco and bullfighting for example.

Experience the magic of Andalucía!

The diversity of landscape and geographical terrain gives rise to an array of environments that go from the heat of Guadalquivir River valley through to luxuriant mid-mountain areas, volcanic landscapes such as the Taberna desert and the snow-capped peaks of Sierra Nevada.

In barely 40 kilometres you can go from Alpine mountain landscape to tropical areas on the shores of the Mediterranean. The cost of Andalusia stretches for almost 900 kilometres and is home to a large number of cities, towns and beaches that are a delight to visit.
