The current exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation (From 3rd October 2018 till 14th January 2019) compares two of the most complex artistic personalities of the twentieth century: Egon Schiele (1890 – 1918) and Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960 – 1988). Despite their profound differences, they both had a common revolutionary vision.  An original exhibition that opposes Basquiat’s underground culture, his skulls, almost demon like characters, his bright colours that alternate with dark shades and Schiele’s knobby bodies in unnatural and deformed positions. The exhibition brings together some 100 works – drawings, gouaches, and paintings – in the pool-level galleries (Gallery 1).
